Since 2010, I have been involved in some Dallas-area local history projects. Appearing this month is an article on “Roads form the Red River” in the Dallas Historical Society’s Legacies journal. In 2011 I released a video called “Houxland,” documenting the original settlers (the Houx family) in the area that is now my neighborhood in Dallas and the story of the area from their time to the present.
